Vita

Per Arvid Löthman ist designierter Professor für Mechatronics und ein interdisziplinärer Forschender und Lehrender. Er studierte Werkstoffwissenschaften an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg und Alfred University, NY, USA. In seiner Promotion an der Universität Twente, Niederlande/Universität des Saarlandes beschäftigte er sich mit Self-Assembly, Magnetics und in mehreren sich anschließenden interdisziplinaren Projekten mit Bionanotechnologie, Microfluidics, Virologie, Mikro- und Nanopartikeln, medical Microrobots (wie magnetotaktische Bakterien), Carbon Nanotubes und Graphen (z. B. für Sensoranwendungen) und Biomimetics, wobei auch Kooperationspartner wie das Institut Pasteur in Paris, das CEA Aix-en-Provence und die Aix-Marseille Université involviert waren.

Vor seinem Eintritt in die Euro-FH hat Per Arvid Löthman mehrere Jahre in der Industrie sowie an in- und ausländischen Universitäten, Hochschulen und Forschungsinstituten, wie dem Fraunhofer Institut, dem Max Bergmann Zentrum für Biomaterialien, der TU Dresden, der École Polytechnique de Montréal, der Hochschule Kaiserslautern und dem KIST Europe, neben der Betreuung von Bachelor-, Master- und Doktorarbeiten, geforscht und gelehrt.
